Did you chmod the images folder to 777? If not it may timeout because you don't have enough access to the file...Try that and see if it fixes it.

Thank you for your advice. Brion Viber, has identified and addressed my problem, that was caused by my own inexperience with HTTP redirection and MediaWiki article path setting.
