I wonder how to find out the version of an installed and used mediawiki. I did not find anything in the interface and did not want to search through the database.
Any hint is appreciated.

1. Visit the Special:Version page on the wiki 2. Open up includes/DefaultSettings.php and check the value of $wgVersion

I guess, you are using a german wiki ... in left bar, click Spezialseiten ... then "Version".
