Dear all,
Trying to use a template to convert a title to search for local opac, I have make a template:
Template:Title
[http://urltoopacsearch/%7B%7B%7B1%7D%7D%7D {{{1}}}]
The call of the template is like this:
{{title|This is the title}}
However, the result is not very well: the space inside the title split the url part and the display was incorrect.
I try many ways to encode the parameter in urlencode, but none succeed. Some search point me to a bug report which state urlencode is already in cvs, I install the newest release from mediawiki, but it still not seems to work.
Could somebody help me on this?
Thank you.

The {{urlencode:}} magic word is present in Subversion trunk (the code which will become 1.7 in July). You'd have to upgrade to get it in your wiki.
Alternatively, you could patch it into MediaWiki yourself or write a simple parser hook extension to emulate it; the latter is the route I'd recommend.
