I follow the posts about the OpenBase Directory error. I need to set a mediawiki 1.7.1 in a asian forum site (in coming soon) of relationship between Japan and the Vatican City State (Rome) about the premier Toyo and the italian pope Pacelli, during the second war (Junichiro Koizumi). I follow the trend because i have the problem discovered by Ashar Voultoiz. Here : asianforum.ws/mediawiki171/ i have the error about PEAR and open_basedir restriction in effect (for the UtfNormalUtil.php). I failed at the moment and the error continue. Followuibg the trend of posts, In php.in i used, without results, :

open_basedir = "/"

include_path = ".:/usr/share/pear" include_path = ".:.:" include_path = ".:/"

The error is the same found by Ashar Voultoiz
