I want to display a couple of wikiarticles from wikipedia on my own site. What is the easiest way to do this ?

View the article on your preferred browser. Go to menu File and select Save as. Remember to acknowledge the source and tell the content is under GFDL when you republish it!

New subject: [Mediawiki-l] Force email validation before account activation?

Hi, I see that by default mediawiki users have to validate their email before being able to use the email functions. Is there a way to prevent their account from being activated before they have validated their email? In otherwords prevent all users that have not validated their email from editing? Thanks !

* $wgGroupPermissions['emailconfirmed']['edit'] = true; OR * $wgEmailConfirmToEdit = true; The first option is preferable; the second *should* be deprecated in the future. Rob Church

One easy way might be to use an HTTP component on your website software that would retrieve wiki URL appending &printable=yes to them. Then get the resulting HTML, extracting the contents of the BODY tag, and injecting it on your HTML as a web component or something. Programming required.

New subject: [Mediawiki-l] Allow admins to add HTML in wiki is it possible?

Hi, I'm looking for a way to be able to add HTML code to the wiki but just for the admins... I'm creating a backlink page for my inscriptions on sites that give you the code to insert in your page and automaticaly test if the backlink actually exists. Is there a way to allow admin's to do this? Thanks in advance !

It is possible to program extensions in PHP that insert HTML code on the pages. Search www.mediawiki.org for information on this.
