I have a LocalSettings.php file with the following anti-spam content (copied from mediawiki help).

this don't work, I find regularly pages with spam with contents listed below; I suspect there is a syntax error somewhere, but where?

this version of mediawiki is 1.4.0. Don't shout :-) I'm not the owner of the wiki, it's not me that installed this copy and the whole site uses the same version and should still do. So I can't udate alone.

If the problem is related with the version number, I may have a best argument in update favor :-()

I know little about php :-(
