Hi all,
Been trying to work out how to run small collaborative group wikis off the one install and it looks like WikiFarms might be the way to go. However, I can't seem to figure out the details of how wikicities or wikipedia have done it...
What I'm looking at trying to achieve is something to the effect of project1.mywiki.com http://project1.mywiki.com and project2.mywiki.comhttp://project2.mywiki.com. I don't think additional namespaces are what I want since I'd like to keep them quite separate.
Would someone be able to point me to the relevant how-to or similar please?
Thanks.

Set it up so all the subdomains (*.mywiki.com) is sent through the same code. Change LocalSettings.php so that it reads the subdomain and changes DB setting appropriately. You can also do a number of other things with this (eg, load a per-site config, per-site extensions folder, etc).
There are also two places where you can read about WikiMedia's configuration: * http://wp.wikidev.net/ * http://wikimedia.org/conf/
