Hello mediawiki-l,
I've been wondering about a persistant problem in MediaWiki. Whenever anyone edits a page in any of the two wikis I run, the "This page was last modified" data in the footer of that page is always incorrect, by always stating the time for the *next to last* edit, instead of the last edit as the string says.
It's not a question about clearing the browser's cache. No matter what browser you use, you always get to see the date for the *next to last* modification of the page, not the last modification.
This is pretty frustrating and makes the "This page was last modified" string in the footer pretty much useless.
Can you suggest a solution for this?
For an illustration, see http://avenarius.sk . That's a fresh MediaWiki 1.8.2 installation.
Thank you.
I've seen the problem in your wiki. Maybe you should file this as a bug.

It does seem to be unrelated to the MediaWiki version used.
http://avenarius.sk >>> MediaWiki 1.8.2 http://4g.vdp.sk >>> MediaWiki 1.6.8
You can see the same issue in both locations. *After a few days*, the issue usually resolves itself on its own, but it does take 36-72 hours before the "This page was last modified" string shows the correct data. Which is annoying especially if you want to use a wiki page to monitor a developing event. And it's not about the browser cache. Maybe there's something wrong in the server environment?
