I upgraded from MediaWiki 1.4.7 to 1.5.0, and when I did it, I lost my navigation panel on the side. How can I get that navigation panel back again? Thanks, Christopher
"Lost" as in, it reverted to the defaults? Changing the navigation bar in MediaWiki 1.5 and later version is facilitated through the MediaWiki:Sidebar page - see http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Navigation_bar for further information.

Maybe you need to regenerate the interface messages in the "MediaWiki:" namespace (using the command-line script, maintenance/rebuildMessages.php or whatever it's called). As of 1.5, the navigation menu has been altered to become more customisable (again), with the wiki page "MediaWiki:Sidebar" replacing the array in LocalSettings.php for defining the structure.
I'm surprised the upgrader didn't create this for you (and presumably everything else was converted successfully) but it's worth a shot...

I upgraded it myself. So, I "execute" some file named rebuildMessages.php in the maintenance folder?

Do you mean you didn't run any kind of install or update script? Anyway, what I meant by "command-line" is that you can't execute that maintenance script as a web-page, you have to be able to log into your server with ssh or telnet or somesuch and run it from a command prompt.
However, looking at your site, I discovered what may have caused the problem: http://dhost.info/travian2005/Wiki/index.php/MediaWiki:Sidebar already exists, with the cryptic content "Closed". This will probably have stopped any upgrade script putting the default content into the page, explaining why it's broken.
So, assuming nothing else is wrong, all you need to do to fix this is to edit that page (MediaWiki:Sidebar) to contain the structure of your navigation bar(s). The default appears to be what I've copied below; instructions for customising are at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Navigation_bar
* navigation ** mainpage|mainpage ** portal-url|portal ** currentevents-url|currentevents ** recentchanges-url|recentchanges ** randompage-url|randompage ** helppage|help ** sitesupport-url|sitesupport

Thanks! It now works. I didn't use that MediaWiki:Sidebar option because I thought that it wouldn't work because the upgrade was from version 1.4.7, and you couldn't do that in v 1.4.7.
