Hello, I'm currently runing Mediawiki 1.7.0:
Is it possible to disable capitalization of uploaded files names? I'm aware of $wgCapitalLinks but I don't want to turn off capitalization for the whole namespace, but rather just for uploaded files names. I want to preserve case-insensitivity, but not force first-letter capitalization.
Specifically, I want 'file.patch' to upload as 'file.patch', not 'File.patch'.
Thanks Bill

Currently, the capitalization option applies to all namespaces equally, with the exception that usernames are always required to be capitalized.
There's a proposal to make this possible to set per-namespace, but it's not currently implemented.
