Heiya,
after upgrading from MW 1.23 to MW 1.24 the page title for a subpage at "PageTitle/SubpageTitle" displays just as "SubpageTitle" with a little subnavigation below it pointing to the base page. I have not really found anything about it in the RELEASE NOTES for the 1.24 branch so I am asking here. Is there a way, e.g. config parameter to regain the previous behaviour?
Thanks for you help. Cheers
Karsten
Hi why not upgrade to mediawiki 1.25 or 1.26 (when released). Mediawiki 1.24 support will be discontinued soon.

I really hate this kind of unhelpful answers. There might be some reasons they want their versions as is (e.g. they might hate new function in 1.25...), or they have some blockers from upgrading. Whatever it is, what users asking expect is the answer to the question, not an asking for upgrade. Since 1.24 is supported (yet) there is no need to point to upgrade. So, just give the answer and if you do not know, just move on to the next email.

Hi Karsten,
I'm interested in the same question, but for another reason: we never have this but would like to have it :-)

Heiya Ad,
this is off-list. It was the Semantic Breadcrumb Links extension I presented in Barcelona.
Hope you made it home well. It was nice seeing you and talking to you again!
Cheers Karsten

What is the value of $wgNamespacesWithSubpages in your LocalSettings.php? Note that if PageTitle/Subpage is in a specific namespace, such as Namespace:PageTitle/Subpage, you have to explicitly enable subpages for that namespace.
Also, the following is indicated in the Help page -> Note: The default of this setting has changed over the years. To be sure which one applies to your wiki check this setting in "DefaultSettings.php".

Heiya Bill,
I am sorry for not following up on this for some time now, but I was distracted by / involved with other matters.
Well, as it turns out I was using an extension with allows to control the display of subpages. Now having configured this one as desired, everything is fluffy again.
Thanks to all of you looking into this! Have a great day.
Cheers Karsten
