Hello all,
In a previous thread ("dynamic CSS for wiki pages"), Rob had pointed me to the Multilang extension* and gave a rough description of how to use it.
However, after not getting it to work on MW 1.8.x, I just tried it again with MW 1.9.2 - and it's still not showing anything. I've added the following to my sandbox: == Multilang ==

<multilang/> -- EOF -- However, all I get is a couple of blank lines between the heading and the end.
Has anyone (successfully) tried this extension before? If so, what might I be doing wrong?
Thanks,
Frederik

Please note that the version of the extension in Subversion is experimental and not necessarily complete; it may have been broken, or there may be issues with it which haven't been picked up in brief testing, including security vulnerabilities.

So I should rather use the original one by Daniel Arnold? (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Multilang)

Well, if you did brief testing, that means it worked for you at some point!? But I don't see anything at all at the moment... Security vulnerabilites are not a huge issue at the moment.
Cheers,
Frederik

Use what you like; I'm just stating my position.

Yes, it worked for me in a brief test. It also didn't cause MediaWiki to die in a horrible manner. I cannot guarantee that an experimental extension will be fully functional at once. I am not presently developing the thing, so you'll have to wait.

Well, I did try Daniel's original today; this works like a charm (there's not even a problem with excessive whitespaces or the like). However, I'll definitely keep track of further developments in this area!

That's alright; as I've said, I'll keep track of things. (I would never *demand* anything anyway; after all, you're providing a free service here - and a high-quality one at that!)
Thanks again,
Frederik
