Dear all,
I'd like to change the text on Special:Upload (Spezial:Hochladen in my case), but several attempts didn't work:
1. I changed MediaWiki:Uploadtext, but that did not help 2. I tried the markup for wpUploadFormLongText and wpUploadFormShortText on MediaWiki:Uploadtext from here [1] 3. I tried to change other interface texts, e.g. MediaWiki:Upload-maxfilesize or MediaWiki:Summary, which also doesn't work. (While others like MediaWiki:Sitenotice, MediaWiki:Searchmenu-new or MediaWiki:Sitenotice work fine)
I'm using MediaWiki 1.22.5

Adding ?uselang=qqx to the end of a URL is useful for doing things like this. It shows you the message keys in use (and the parameters being passed to them), rather than outputting the actual text.
MediaWiki:Uploadtext does indeed appear on Special:Upload. How did changing that not help? Can you explain what you mean by "doesn't work" here?
UploadForm.js is a Wikimedia user script and you won't find it in a fresh MediaWiki install, so this documentation page is probably not relevant.

http://standards.kdz.eu/index.php?title=MediaWiki:Uploadtext
it has "THIS IS A TEST" written, also http://standards.kdz.eu/index.php?title=MediaWiki:Upload-maxfilesize has a "TEST" inside.
the result is, that http://standards.kdz.eu/index.php?title=Spezial:Hochladen
still shows the original text...
