thanks for the lead.

However, I have not been able to get this to work. I uploaded GoogleMaps.php, added the GoogleMaps API to the settingsPHP snippet and then used the sample syntax provided on the google_maps_extension page but all I get is the following at the top of the page:

$wgGoogleMapsKey = "/my API key here/"; require_once( "extensions/GoogleMaps.php" );

Have you or anyone on this list experienced a similar problem?

Hi Brill,

I did sign up with GoogleMaps and inserted the API key into the snippet that goes into local settings but despite that it's not working. Is any editing required in the php file?
