Only that very sentence wasn't necessary in your answer. The rest was
all good answers. Very good and helpful answers.
But is it that much to expect people to do a modicum of research on their own
before blasting a question out to thousands of people? Sure, I understand
that undeserved snarkiness is a turnoff to newbies. But seriously, all those
links could have been found with 5 minutes of googling.
