Hi All, I'd like to add smileys support in my WiKi ... I know that this function has been removed ... But can somebody point me to an extension that will do that ? Best regards KlinT. ( Using Mediawiki 1.7.1 )

Hi I don't know about the extension, but it can be quite easy to do just using templates. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Emot and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Smiley for an idea of how it's been done on Wikipedia - though this may not be desirable for you, I hope it can give you something to think about! Hi Martin, Well, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Emot allow me to use smileys ... in my WiKi ... This is a workarround, but a little bit "heavy" ... That's why I have post a question here :) In fact, I'd like to write an extension that parse smileys strings ( like :) or :-) ) and replace these strings with the correct image ... Using the same method used in Mail Link Extension is a good start point, but, actually, i'm not able to make it works because of a problem in the preg_replace function :) So, I still continue my experiments, thanks for your help Martin. New subject: [Mediawiki-l] New pages

Hi all, I've moved some pages, and after I've deleted its original link. So, what happened is that all of those pages I've moved don't show up in the page Special:Newpages even though they still exists. I don't want to delete and create all those pages just to have them showing up in the page Special:Newpages. But if I have to, I will do so... Any clue?
