After a couple weeks of breaking it in on Wikipedia, the MediaWiki 1.1.0 release is now available. Various bug fixes, wiki-friendly table markup, and localization improvements top user-visible changes over the previous stable snapshots.

The previous stable branch snapshots may be thought of as 1.0.x. Or, you know, not. Main development will continue in the trunk; the 1.1 branch is now for bug fixes only.

In CVS, the new release is in the REL1_1 branch, tag REL1_1_0.
