Some hacker has deleted the content of most of my pages, like 1200 ....on http://www.monstropedia.org
Is there a way to roll back all those articles to their previous pages instead of doing by hand from [[user contributions]]
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Loïc

I think he means something more automatic. [[Wikipedia:Replies_to_common_objections]] If someone launches an extensive attack, all offending IP addresses can be blocked from further editing by the admins. We can develop ad hoc technical measures to disallow certain edits, or to revert edits that meet certain criteria (...) In an emergency, we can revert all changes made since a certain time.
There's maintenance/cleanupSpam.php but it reverts pages linking to a web. You would need to modify it to revert all edits of an user. Odd it doesn't exist yet, though.
Could DELETE FROM revision WHERE rev_user_text='Janus'; be enough or arise problems with having wrong page_latest, page_len ? At least cache would need to be globally purged.
Special:Nuke will mass-delete edits from a given user or IP address. http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Nuke
