To my recollection, I believe the Parser enforces the rule that <tr> and
<td> tabs must be children of <table> elements. If they're not,
they'll
appear as regular text (which seems to be what you're seeing).
Can you paste the actual wikitext you're trying to render?

As for the original issue:
The table tags TR and TD dont get parsed in my
wiki.
I thought table tags were okay - at least they work on our wiki.
Which version of MediaWiki are you using?
