So I ran into this small problem. I've created a rather big FAQ page which has a rather big table of contents (TOC). My wiki users are complaining that the FAQ is too big, and that they would rather have the big TOC in one page and then move the wiki content to different pages. Can this be achieved, to have an automatically generated TOC in a single page and have the content on different pages? Or even have the big TOC in a single page and have all the content in another single page? Thanks.

You could place each item in a category and then the category page is the TOC. There are also extensions, like the DynamicPageList extension. But since this extension breaks the cache horrible, I would not recommend using it. I dimly remember there is also a FAQ extension, which makes very nice FAQ style TOCs. Maybe google for it :D

First of all, thanks for your suggestions. I tried searching for a FAQ extension and didn't find anything useful. I came across the NiceCategoryList extension but it didn't work with my 1.5.8 setup, when including the extesion in LocalSettings.php all pages in the wiki would show up blank. Anybody has any other ideas/suggestions? Thanks.

That was the one I had in mind. I have not tried it myself, tho.
Anybody has any other ideas/suggestions? Thanks.
No, sorry I have run out of ideas :(
