I haven't seen this addressed anywhere so I thought I throw it out there:
How to add Meta tags inside Mediawiki for limited timed events. I use the Semantic Mediawiki and allow users to post events so I need an easy way to add the meta tag expires inside a page. Any thoughts? Thanks

You can use parser functions and the current time variables to do it, however you may run into caching issues depending on how your wiki is set up.

John thanks for the answer, but I don't get your answer. I've never seen a parser function being used in a meta tag description. I've checked out the extension:wikiseo --- http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:WikiSEO
and see no way to add the expires meta tag to a page. This should involve no caching issues since all the expires meta tag does is tell a search engine when the page's content is no longer valid.
That way if someone has an event on July 1 the page will show in Google's results up until that date and not show after that.
Mediawiki supports the No Index tag via a magic word and allows meta tags via some extensions, but I still have found nothing to allow the "expires" meta tag.
So if if I missed something in your answer ,please,if you could, send me a example. And if anyone else has any thoughts on how to add the "expires" tag please tell me. (Except if your answer is for me to write a new extension)
All the best to everyone. Thanks

Ah, miss read the issue, you would need to modify WikiSEO.body.php in order to do what you want
