Hello all
I have a Problem. In my rss feed I have two new lines, but I dont know why. Which php file or MediaWiki:xy page is responsible for this part? I'd like to remove this newlines.
\n \n <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <?xml-stylesheet type="text/css" href="http://web.swissjabber.ch/skins/common/feed.css"?> <rss version="2.0" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"> <channel> __SNIP__
Thanks for help. Marco
Hello,
Wikipedia has a message that appears on every page (currently "Your continued donations keep Wikipedia running!"). I would like to know which system message this is.
Also, does MediaWiki automatically purge the database of deleted files after a period of time, or do I have to do this manually? And in a similar vein, can I lock the database via MediaWiki?
Thanks very much,
Sven

MediaWiki:Sitenotice

You have to do it manually, if I understood you correctly.

Not anymore. Maybe there's an extension, but I doubt it's still maintained.
Thanks very much,
Sven

Hello again,
I'd like to know how I can make the site tagline appear. In older versions of MW, if I am not mistaken it would appear automatically but in these latest releases it never appears. I have searched for additional system messages but to no avail, so do I have make some new addition to my LocalSettings?
Thank you,
Sven

You have extra whitespace at the beginning or end of some PHP file, probably one you edited or copied manually.
