Hello,
I have a lot of technical experience with everything computer related except web design. That's precisely why I want my website to be a wiki: it's much easier to manage than just about anything else. However, I don't know how to use MySQL or PHP, so the documentation is a little bit intimidating to me. I won't be installing it immediately, but if anyone could let me know who to contact for a step by step installation guide in layman's terms, I'd appreciate it a lot.

Zack,
What type of hosting provider will you be using? If they offer a control panel setup it makes the mysql setup really easy. In fact, it also makes it pretty easy to change php when neccesary. I don't have a lot of experience with web design either, but I was able to get our set up working fine with no real trouble.
Unfortunately I don't know of a step by step guide for the setup that discusses those issues, probably just because there are so many different approaches that could be taken and setups to have to deal with. If you can get back with more specific questions once you're ready to get started I (or probably anyone else on this board) would be glad to help where I can.
