Apologies if the wrong forum for this… quick setup/PHP config q., if I may? Installed Mediawiki 1.28 with Softaculous on my (shared) host (http://gogetspace.com http://gogetspace.com/), and get error:
You are missing a required extension to PHP that MediaWiki requires to run. Please install: iconv (more information)
PHPinfo is here: http://wiki.tullyhansen.com/phpinfo.php http://wiki.tullyhansen.com/phpinfo.php, but I'm not well-versed enough to know where to start with fixing this.

Hi there, This should be directed to your shared host's support. In most of hosts you can't install software yourself and every host have different interface. I think we can't help you with your problem.
