How can I link several MediaWiki Instalattions search,
I intened to have about 20 MediaWiki Installation and i want people to be able to search one or all of them, maybe also select only few to run search agains.
Is this easy to do?

Short answer: No, it's not easy to do. I don't know of any supported way to do it, in fact.

wikia.com has a cross-wiki search, I think; not sure how they implement it.

wikia.com has a cross-wiki search, I think; not sure how they implement it.
They have a top level search that points you to the main page of wikis they host, but not to articles within.
They're also beta-testing a more detailed, search and link to the pages search, but it's not well explained how it works...

If I understand correctly, those are all relatively normal web search tools operating "from the outside looking in" at the Mediawiki content, not looking into the database(s) and operating from the inside?
