I want to re-ask a question from Subfader that is not solved in Mediawiki.org
As he says:
"~~~ will link to your profile "But how about a code that returns your user name as plain text so i can use it for codes and links?"
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help_talk:Magic_words#User.27s_User_Name.3F
I my case I want to obtain the current logged user user-name to use it as default content with a SemanticForms form. It's there a variable or some way to obtain it? "~~~" doesn't work in this case.
Thanks in advance.
Dvdgmz.

Do you want it in an extension? If you do how about $wgUser->getName();
I haven't seen any way for wiki text to automatically give you a username that isn't a link.
Good luck! -Courtney
I want it in wikitext to use as default value in a SF form.
Definitively it's not any way to get it?
