I am looking for a simple and quick solution to getting the email functionality working for my Wiki.
Currently it is running on WAMP and i realise that I need to get the email functionality working to reset passwords.
Is there any way that I can just point my Wiki to my Gmail account to do this?
Many thanks

Hi all, I am totally new to MediaWiki. I just got it working and now I look for an extension/hack, that allows me to upload mutliple attachments at once. Is there anything like this available out of the box? What keywords would I have to use to find something like this on the mediawiki site? (did not find anything there)
Thank you Michael

I am upgrading from 1.6.9 to 1.10 as my host finally upgraded to PHP 5. However, the size of the 1.10 distribution package is significantly larger than 1.6.9. I have limited disk space on my host (100MB, but my database is unlimited) and I use MediaWiki to drive the entire site.
What files can I *safely* remove [as to not break the wiki] to reduce the size of the package? As the site is a personal/family site, there are some features I don't need:
* Languages other than English * Math/TeX support * Skins other than Monobook
I need most of my disk space for images and media files.
Also, can the Maintenance directory be removed? My host doesn't offer shell access :(
Thanks, Brian

No, maintenance/ contains a large number of support files including updaters, database patches, table definitions, etc. You could pick through it and remove individual files, but if your disk space is that low, then you are probably going to end up with other problems later.
