Hi everyone,
I was wondering if I could do this upgrade by simply overwriting the files, or if I need to make any database changes?
thanks, json
I had no problems moving from 1.5rc4 to 1.5rel. Backup the database files, backup the whole wiki folder, then copy across your images directory, set up permissions, and run the installer to configure it.
This method means that if anything goes wrong, you can go straight back to the old setup with minimal bother. There aren't any major major changes between the two versions.

how ever this mean reconfiguring is you made a change to a file.
is it a way to only copy the changed files?
thanks jdd
@ jdd,
I hadn't heard from anyone, last night, so that's exactly what I did. It worked fine for me(so far). I've not found anything broken yet, so I have high hopes.

Yes, copying only the changed files probably wouldn't be a problem either, I just wanted to be extra specially careful. :-)

is it not possible to have the list of changed files? should be enough to copy theses ones.
jdd
In my experience, I was able to upload the new version files directly over the old ones without issue. You might want to back up your database and existing files as a mere precaution, however.
