Quick PHP upgrade question – Can mediawiki 1.6.10 run on PHP 5?
We have a mediawiki version 1.6.10 running on PHP 4.47. I just got an email from the hosting company saying they are going to upgrade us to PHP5.
Just wanted to check that nothing will "break" from that move.
Thanks a lot in advance!

Yes - the only possible problem I know of is if you use internal Tidy. There's a bit of code in older versions of Parser.php (MW1.11 and earlier) that is PHP4 only. There is a fix for it here: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual_talk:%24wgTidyInternal

You may need to configure the server to handle *.php files with PHP 5 rather than PHP 4. Put
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php
in a .htaccess file in your web root directory.
