FCKEditor generates HTML, not wikitext. This is not a small problem, IMO. Back-converting the HTML to wikitext for storage would not be trivial. Also, the chances are slim that an input method will be anything like WYSIWYG if the source-to-display engine is not MW-specific. So it's not clear the you would even achieve what you seek.
It's worth noting that FCKEditor's own wiki uses a plain text area for input.
Probably a better approach is one or another of the "wikiwyg" efforts for mediawiki previously mentioned on this list; in particular, see
http://www.wikipage.org/wikinaut/index.php/WYSIWYG-Editor/Sandbox
Or google "wikiwyg mediawiki"

Hi, are there any chances to include the fck-editor into wikipedia? The normal way through www.mysite.com/FCKeditor/_samples/default.htmlhttp://www.mysite.com/FCKeditor /_samples/default.htmlis not a nice solution, cause it is a stand alone. So it would be nice to have it in wikipedia included. does sb.know how ? :-) eke _______________________________________________ MediaWiki-l mailing list MediaWiki-l@Wikimedia.org http://mail.wikipedia.org/mailman/listinfo/mediawiki-l
