I dont think the survey results have been passed on effectively to most active developers. This is the first time i have even heard anything about that survey since it was originally launched. Perhaps the comparision is unfair, but compare it to say the WMF community wishlist survey, which I hear about ad nauseum. The user requests I hear about more often are the one's i am more likely to work on.
Brian,
I don't think you're being unfair -- we haven't really promoted what we're doing as effectively as some of the other things. This is largely the result of being entirely volunteer driven by people who have "real jobs" whose focus is not on growing MediaWiki adoption.
We're having a #mwstake meeting this Friday[1] and you're all free to join us and help us make this a more focused effort.
Mark.
