Anyone care to hazard a guess why?
One thing to check is that the links are proper wikilinks. Sometimes users use links like
[http://mysite/mediawiki/index.php/Wiki_Article]
instead of
[[Wiki Article]]
Only the latter -- wikilinks -- can be tracked by the wiki software.
If this isn't it, can you post your site's URL, if not private?
