[Mediawiki-l] Will the subpage-feature be available in future versions of mediawiki?

Hi,
we are using the subpage-feature in our mediawiki installation (1.11). I saw that subpages are not available with articles in the Wikipedia. Will the subpage feature be eliminated in future versions of mediawiki?
