It really depends on what type of mobile device you are talking about. For a PDA or large Smartphone Chick (built in) works well.
Check out this super low bandwidth version of Wikipedia - http://en.mobile.wikipedia.org/. Appropedia has a lot of international development workers in our community... so we would love an implementation like this (especially with an added edit, or upload by sms, ability). Please let us know if you get something going with it.
