My colleague want "user" has an UI very simple by removing:
"Discussion"
"View Source", "Contribution", "My Discussion Page" on the
top of the
page and the "Toolbox" menu of the left. Is there a way to do that?
Put on Mediawiki:Common.css li#ca-talk, li#ca-edit, li#pt-mycontris, li#pt-mytalk, #p-tb { display: none }
Thanks, perfect help! Only problem, the "Edit" tab disappear also when you are an editor, not just for the regular user, also for the Editor group, is there a way to fix it ?
there is a hook during the creation of the tabs that allow you to add/remove tabs --> you can create a hook function (this would be php, not html nor css) in LocalSettings.php that add/remove tabs according to what you want to allow for which user's groups
