[Mediawiki-l] Interwiki link and space in url

I am trying to do

[[test:/blah/My Page | My page]]

Where test is a interwiki link like http://test

Wiki renders this as a link like

http://test/blah/My_Page

Note how it makes the space an underscore. I can't find a way for the space to remain a space since on my server the file is actually called "My Page".
