Ah, I was assuming that he wanted the extra buttons present on wikipedia. I thought that seeing the buttons was the default, though, in 1.10. There may be some browser-dependence.

At least in my installation (version 1.10) this can be enabled in the per-user settings (Spezial:Einstellung in german, probably Special:Settings in english). No need to fiddle with Common.js.
