To do this,
use the following specialpage : MediaWiki:Sidebar
then edit it as usual and under the "Navigation" section, add your's :
* navigation ** mainpage|mainpage ** portal-url|portal ** currentevents-url|currentevents ** recentchanges-url|recentchanges ** randompage-url|randompage ** helppage|help ** sitesupport-url|sitesupport * My Navigation Menu ** Link #1|Text #1 ** Link #2|Text #2
Save and that's done,
