Let me first say thank you for the help and suggestions! I'd also like to repeat that I am very new to this, and I don't know much at all so please forgive my ignorance.
It looks like you put the LocalSettings.php file outside the wiki directory. It goes inside, just not in the config directory where it gets written.
I just double checked, and the localsettings.php file is within my wiki directory.
Did you put a .htaccess in your root web directory?
There is a file named htaccess in my root directory, but I don't know what it is or how it got there. I used MS Frontpage to write the original website, and I am trying to add a wiki section to that site. I'm far from savy when it comes to HTML. Should I edit or delete this file to fix my problem? I guess another question is if Wiki and Frontpage are compatible, or is the wiki treated like a stand alone site just linked off of the main site but having no interaction?
Are you using some extra extentions loaded in Apache like mod_security or in PHP like safe_mode or so ?
To be honest, I don't even know what Apache and Php are or more importantly how to check this. I found an Apache handlers link in the control panel for my website, and there is nothing other then .cgi .pl and .shtml listed there. As for the PhP, I don't see anything that I can check.
Check your Apache error log and paste them here
I don't know if these are Apache error logs, but this is from the error log link in my control panel. There are a bunch of errors similar to these, alot of repeats. [Tue Apr 17 17:04:20 2007] [error] [client 80.244.204.146] File does not exist: /home/drsecret/public_html/favicon.ico [Tue Apr 17 17:12:53 2007] [error] [client 24.14.142.223] File does not exist: /home/drsecret/public_html/500.shtml
(do something like this tail -f /var/log/apache2/error.... Or /var/log/httpd/error...) And refresh your wiki page, the lines will appear
What file would I do this to? Index.php? And where should it go in the page?
