Yeah, I actually wrote the searchreplace for things having nothing to do with styles. The use case for us was updating an external URL that was on a large number of pages.

What would be best (burn me once...) is to copy wikitable, call it something else (wikitable2, whatever) and change _that_. Then change the relevant pages to use the new class.
