We have started to use (pilot) the Media Wiki at our company (>1500 emp.). Are there any implementations with or plans for an Oracle database backend for the media wiki?
No, there's very little interest in supporting hyperexpensive proprietary databases. You could try porting it (based on the PostgreSQL support) but I doubt this would be easier than running one mysqld.
