So you want text to wrap around the TOC? Or a table?
It can be done pretty easy via CSS. On regular tables, give them the class "tright" or "tleft". On TOCs, edit MediaWiki:Monobook.css to include the property "float: right" or "float: left" for #toc.

Can you expand on that thought a little? The TOC is an automatically generated element; thus I am not sure exactly how you'd specify it as a table element.
