I exported several XML pages from Wikipedia, and tried to import them into my local Mediawiki installation. Each time, I get errors like this:
XML import parse failure at line 54, col 436 (byte 4898; "�48.</ref>"): not well-formed (invalid token)
I can't see anything wrong with the XML --
