Hi,
you know, links break after time... Thats why many wikis use services
such as webcitation.
Is there some non-experimental extension, which automatically creates
backups of links using either webcitation, archive.org or similar services?
Or some doing some other kind of backup, such as screenshot the page or
storeing the page?
(The ArchiveLinks extension [1] looks very well, serving exactly this
purpose, but its really stresses, not to use in in production wiki.)
Cheers,
adrelanos

http://rationalwiki.org runs 1.19 LTS. This is fine. (Barring a DDOS
over the past couple of days, so please excuse the site being slow.)
Trouble is, the skin is for desktops and not suited to mobile at all.
What can a 1.19 LTS site do for a better experience for its mobile
readers?
- d.
Hi!
In an own installation of mediawiki, I would like to use this skin by
default:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Gallery_of_user_styles/NullBook
For testing I added it to User:MyUserName/myskin.css but then the skin
was just totally messed up (no skin at all).
Or asked the other way around, how am I supposed to use any of the skins
listed here:
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Gallery_of_user_styles
They most of the time only provide a css file, but the skin folder of
mediawiki seems to require a .php file and a whole folder with css.
Must I create a new .php file myself? Can't I just use a premade one?
Cheers,
adrelanos

== Translate ==
===Noteworthy changes===
Groups are sorted alphabetically in the export tab of Special:Translate.
Support for Yandex Translate API v1.5.
Edit summaries for automated edits are written in the content language
(bug 52142).
== UniversalLanguageSelector ==
===Noteworthy changes===
The functions for web fonts loading were optimized to improve performance.
The internals of loading translated message were changed from the
original jquery.i18n implementation to allow loading messages from
other domains (CORS).
Languages code aliases are now used properly in the Common languages
section. This allows, for example, proper display of Tagalog for users
from the Philippines.
The variable $wgULSNoImeSelectors was added to disable IME on elements
by specifying jQuery selectors that match them.
The CSS class 'uls-settings-trigger' can be added to any element so
that clicking it will make the ULS appear. It is useful for
documentation and examples.
Web fonts are applied to the IME selector menu, too.
===Fonts===
Persian and Malayalam no longer have a default font.
Added fonts for Canadian Syllabic, Urdu (non-default),
Updated UnifrakturMaguntia font.
===Input methods===
LRM and RLM were added to the Hebrew input methods and the redundant
he-kbd input method was removed.
Danda was removed from the Marathi phonetic input method.
A bug was fixed in Kannada, Tamil and Marathi input methods that
didn't allow typing some characters.
The Slovak input method was fixed according to the standard Slovak keyboard.
The names of the Oriya input methods were updated.

Dear all,
I've tried the solution above but it still redirects the URL to
"Adăugare_informației_despre_un_dispozitiv_medical%26setlang%3Dde", the
symbol "%26" appears instead of "?" and the "%3D" instead of "=".
Is there any work around this? Is there anyway else for
concatenate the string "&setlang=de" in the end of the URL?

Subject: [MediaWiki-l] Interlinks in MediaWiki
Dear All,
I'm trying to configure a interlink in the Navigation menu. The
link is configured as
[[de:Adăugare_informației_despre_un_dispozitiv_medical]]. I would like to
cancatenate to the link the following "?setlang=de", the problem is that
when I configure
[[de:Adăugare_informației_despre_un_dispozitiv_medical?setlang=de]] the
window opens with the following URL :
Adăugare_informației_despre_un_dispozitiv_medical%3Fsetlang%3Dde.
The "?" is transformed into "%3F" and the same happens with the
symbol "=". Is there any work around for this?

You're way offtopic, but hey, since you're linking to an anti-civility
piece, I'll link to a roundup and a couple of pro-civility pieces.

"You don't have to be a jerk to code review"
To get back on-topic: this list is not LKML, and people don't get to be
abusive jerks. You will be moderated if you flame people and you don't
cool down when asked to. We welcome frank speech, including criticism
of each other's work, but not insults directed at people. If that does
not suit you, there are a zillion other lists out there for you to rant on.
