We are using MW 1.15 inside our corporate lan (only for internal users). We
would like to put some controls on some pages / or maybe even entire
categories. In particular, let's say that we have a category called "Design
Policy".Now we would want to do is something like this:
* Anybody can create/edit a page.
* But before it is posted to a particular category, it has to be approved by
some person or set of people (may be creating a group called "managers" and
adding some people with admin rights into it)
* Once the page is posted to the category, it is locked down and only SysOps
and users in "manager" group can edit it.
What would be a good way to achieve this?

Hello Nikola,
It's possible that your server isn't configured
to handle png files. It all depends on how GD graphics library is configured.

I've got a problem with thumbnails in my wiki. If I upload an image (png) the thumbnails of that image can't be created. How can I change it and let the wiki create thumbnails?

Hello all,
I guess this is a SMW and a general MW question. I was looking
at the page:
Extension:Semantic Result Formats/calendar format and it gave at the bottom
a link here:

Looking at the source of the page made me feel like something was seriously
missing and I had no idea how the calendar is appearing. Does this rely on
a different 3rd party extension?
Speaking of calendars, this is the best calendar I found:

Unfortunately the page says the creator is moving away from that. Ok, so I
clicked on the new replacement for this and it is warning me it is in beta
and not ready.
So, what is the best choice for a nice calendar on a site that would allow
users to enter information easily. I mean is there a learning curve for
people to use this Calendar? If you had users that were somewhat or quite
self-declared non-tech savvy, what would you do?

I am using MW 1.15.5. By default the following groups are present on my Wiki
(Special:ListGroupRights):
all, Users, Autoconfirmed users, Bots, Administrators, Bureaucrats
Now I would like to create a new group called "managers" and add few users
(for example john, tim and rick) to that group. How do I do this?
