Well, if such pages are all subpages of the first one, probably this
can be done by a template that use the __TOC___ statement for the main
page and a Dynamic Page List extension to obtain the subpages toc..
difficult to do but not impossible...

A user would like a single ToC for his pages
Application
Application/Configuration
Application/Adding Components
I realise that he will have to consider the length of such a ToC, but although
I feel it should be perfectly possible, I can't find any explanation of how to
do it. Could someone either explain it to me or point me to the right reading
to understand it (preferrably both :-))

Provide all relevant details, explain your problem clearly, etc. You may

When replying to an existing thread, use the "Reply" or "Followup" feature of
your mail client, so that clients that understand threading can sort your
message properly. When quoting other messages, please use the "inline" quoting
style[11], for clarity.
When creating a new thread, do not reply to an existing message and change the
subject. This will confuse peoples' mail readers, and will result in fewer
people reading your mail. Instead, compose a new message for your post.
Messages posted to the list have the "Reply-To" header set to the mailing list,
which means that by default, replies will go to the entire list. If you are
posting a reply which is only interesting to the original poster, and not the
list in general, you should change the reply to only go to that person. This
avoids cluttering the list with irrelevant traffic.

Hello,
We're using MediaWiki in our company as an informationsystem to our
customers.
We collect manuals, FAQs and other information from our products in the wiki
and all our customers got a user to read this articles.
All customers are only able to read, employees also can create and edit
articles.
Now we want to use the discussion-sites from the articles to get feedbacks
from our customers.
The problem is: i can't enable the edit-permission for customers to protect
our articles, but without this permission customers are not able to edit the
discussion-sites.
Customers may not get the edit-permission to guarantee the quality of the
information inside.
How can i solve this conflict!?
Are there any extended permissions for discussion-sites?!
Thanks a lot for your help!
Dennis Wolf
Answers in German language are also welcome ;-)
Hello,
I edited an article-text directly in the database via a script from a
SQL-Database-Manager.
When i select the article inside the wiki it shows me the "old" article.
After klicking the Edit-Button the "new", extern edited, Text is shown in
the edit-interface.
After storing the article the "new" text is also shown in the wiki.
Why is the new text primal after the "wiki-internal" storing visible and not
directly after the "wiki-external" scripting?!
Thanks for your help,
Dennis Wolf
I'm in the middle of a server migration, and decided to upgrade my instance of mediawiki and postgres to versions 1.15.1 and 8.3.8 (stock SLES11 version) respectively. pg_dumps, restores, and db admin is nothing new to me, but I can't for the life of me get my instance (MW 1.9.3 and pg 8.1.11) into the new postgres. I've even tried moving from 8.1 to 8.2 as an intermediate step before going to 8.3. Nothing is working for me. Can someone clarify the steps for me? I have read the Manual:Upgrading_Postgres page.

Hello, there.
I'm now working on my lab's website using mediawiki 1.15.1 on an ubuntu 9.10
system.
The original website works quite well. But I want to setup a copy of the
original website with a language different from the original one.
How can I do this with the simplest way ?
Thanks ~
I've run into a problem with images I'm converting from another
source. The most accurate intermediate format seamed to be .png,
however; I've run into a repeated problem with some images display. On
certain images, some of the text rendered has been misscaled and is
inconsistant with the surrounding image. The text is correctly located
on the displayed image. At first, I thought this was a problem with
the software generating the .png file from its source. These are
ChemDraw format images and are being converted by ChemDraw. In further
looking at the intermediate, I find I can correctly view the .png file
with other windows utilities without the font scale problem. These
utilities Paint and Windows Photo Gallery also have no problem scaling
the image. I have also attempted enabling .svg image format hoping it
would be a convenient intermediate, but; the added work to support
browsers without native .svg gave me pause.
Can anyone familiar with the .png scaling process comment on why (only
certain) text in .png files does not scale properly? I'm using
MediaWiki 1.15.1. Thanks for any help.
I want to download a database dump of wikipedia in English version from
http://download.wikipedia.org/. But it's to large. I have not enough
resource to download and process it. And I only need part of the database.
Where can I download a subset of the database dump ?
Thanks.
