or PR firms (Amritsar, Chandigarh, Hisar and Jabalpur to name a few):

I don't think we should have a problem with that, unless:
1. The event is not open to public
2. They are asking for grants or merchandise from the foundation
3. There is evidence of some dupery involved (such as in the Bhopal
case).
Most of such meetups and barcamps in India are, in fact, organized by
small-time companies or freelancers looking for networking opportunities.
