A meetup is not necessarily an event that is intended to achieve a certain
goal, instead it is more of a social meeting of people in reallife that have
a connection via Wikipedia. It can lead to achieving goals, the creation of
projects or just remain a (ir)regular pub meetup or whatever. Anything else
I would call a "meeting", which sounds more official ;-)
I personally believe that most places are suitable for a meetup, if 5 people
turn up that's fine. The question is always: who organizes it and how often.
Just experiment.

I do not know. There isnt a big number from wales as far as i know, our
broadband sheep don't seem
to head the way of the wiki.
If I'm at home (rather than at university), I would be there. David's
right -- there are plenty of Welsh Wikipedians about. I'm going on
holiday in a week, but when I get back I'll see what we can do about
setting something up.
