Dear all, I am pleased to announce that Wikimedia UK has reached an agreement with Roger Bamkin and Terence Eden regarding the ownership of QRpedia. The intellectual property in QRpedia and the qrpedia.org and qrwp.orgdomains will be transferred to Wikimedia UK, which will maintain and support the development of the QRpedia platform for the future. Roger and Terence will act as honorary advisors to Wikimedia UK in this, as well as retaining their moral rights of attribution, but will not receive any financial consideration for this. I am very pleased we have reached an agreement. I look forward to Wikimedia UK working to support QRpedia's future development. This includes defining our future involvement with the MonmouthpediA and GibraltarpediA projects. A fuller statement will follow. Wikipedian in Residence

Hi folks, I am pleased to announce that this morning, I start work as Wikipedian in Residence at The New Art Gallery, Walsall <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_Art_Gallery_Walsall> I hope to have a project page on-Wiki later today, but in brief the main part of the project will be running a series of free open events for members of the public to learn to edit Wikipedia, and to use the gallery's impressive library an archives. Of course I'll also be training gallery staff, and advising the management board on their strategic approach to open content. This residency runs alongside my existing residency at Lancashire County Council's Queen Street Mill Textile Museum. Comments please - AGM motion regarding 3-term limits for Board

Dear all, I have just drafted a motion for the AGM regarding introducing a 3-term (6-year) limit on the time someone can serve on the Board. This isn't an urgent problem we face - indeed the motion is drafted so we would only start to count from this Summer - but the Governance Review highlighted that it's good practice to have some provision of this nature to prevent the Board becoming ossified in the long term. We hosted an event for journalists in central London which was attended by Jimmy Wales. Work began on actually drafting the 2012-13 annual review after community consultation didn't lead to a great deal of participation.
