In the second session we introduced wiki editing to the participants. There was also a short introduction about WikiBhasha by the representatives form Microsoft.
The participants asked many questions about wiki, Wikimedia Foundation, Wikipedia, sister projects and so on. They also asked some queries regarding featured articles, protected pages typing tools, policies of Hindi wikipedia, and so on. The participants are introduced to wiki wiki editing in a simple way.We also gave them information regarding transliteration tool and taught them to write in Devanagari on Hindi wikipedia.
At the end of the workshop all were introduced to WikiBhasha tool by Microsoft representative, Ashwini. He demonstrated the tool by translating an English Wikipedia article to Hindi.
Since this is the first Wiki workshop for Hindi there were participants came even from neighboring states like Punjab, UP, and so on.Hindi wiki community is planning to organize many more workshops in the near future.

I would like to specially thank Ravikant for the excellent facility he arranged for the Hindi workshop at Sarai. Without his support this workshop would not have been possible.
I hope this workshop will be a new beginning for the Hindi wiki projects. One Hindi wikipedian traveled all the way from Kanpur to assist us for this workshop. This is the first time Hindi wiki community got an opportunity to interact directly with the speakers of the language. There is lot of enthusiasm and interest among the people about the Hindi wiki projects. There are lot of future potential users whom we need to reach to find right people for the various Hindi wiki projects.
Even though our target for this workshop was people in and around New Delhi City, to our suprise, the participants traveled all the way from states like Punjab, Haryana, and UP to attend this workshop. This clearly shows how people are desperately waiting for the active wikipedians of Indian language wikis to interact with them.
Few photographs that I took are uploaded to commons. It is available at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Delhi_Meetup_2011_February
Hindi wiki community has plans to hold wiki workshops at various locations in the near future. Please contact Mayur or me if you can arrange facilities for a Hindi wiki workshop at your place.
Thanks Shiju Alex
